Spring is on it’s way

The snow is gone here in Kentucky and there are signs of spring. The air is a little warmer today and tomorrow will be warmer still.

Stores are selling potted tulips and other spring flowers.

The Easter candies are out on the shelves too. Another sign that spring is around the corner. Of course, I had to get some~~~just to bring a little  bit of spring home with me. But, you’ll never guess what I got.

Chocolate mousse PEEPS…….Yes, chocolate mousse.100_3105

What a find!!!! You’re probably going to tell me that I must live under a rock~~~~that you’ve been buying them for years. But, I don’t care they’re mine now~~~~mine, mine, mine.

When you bite their ears off they look, oddly, like little chocolate snowmen. They’re good too. Don’t get me wrong now~~~they’re not  gourmet good. But, I sure did enjoy biting into that sugary, puffy goodness. Simple things make me happy. Yes, life is good……….

Hi Carolyn
This post sure brought a smile to my face! I've never seen these cute chocolate bunnies...although they do seem to make more and more varieties. We always got Peeps in our Easter baskets, so now we buy them for the kids...but no one really ever eats them. I'm glad to see you're already enjoying yours! :-) What a beautiful picture of the tulips, btw!

well if you've been living under a rock, then so haven't I!! They look DELISH!

All of our snow is gone here in Maine as well, and it's been in the 50's!! It makes me want to rake the leaves from the perennial beds, but I can't do it yet.... it would be too early!! BUT I do plan on starting a potted garden on the deck this year (herbs & such) so at least i can start buying pretty pots in preperation!! LOL!)

Hope all is well with you Caroline!

Hello My Friend!

A good day to stop by, say howdy and catch up on your posts! Love the Peeps!!! I have been a Peep fanatic for years and my little sister mailed them to me just because she thinks of me when she sees them. My recent diabetes diagnosis made me saddest to give up Peeps and maple syrup. . . I still pick up the packages in the stores though and give a wistful sigh before putting them back down - oh enjoy those chocolate ones for me!!!

Hugs to you and warm weather wishes!
Deborah

omg Carolyn, we have had the STRANGEST spring! Last week it was so beautiful and in the high 60s and one day reached 70! Our fields were turning green! I woke up this morning to 30s and a lite dusting of snow!

Anyhoo... hubby brought me home two pots of daffodils yesterday, but there is no way I dare to plant them right now! (I think I can plant them) the directions say "indirect light and cool home temps".... so maybe they are not the kind I can plant outside?? any ideas?

hope you are having a lovely spring!
