Count down

Yes, the  F.E.I Games are coming up soon. Sept. 25 through October 10. I’ve been working hard to to have enough jewelry to sell at the show that I'm  doing in Midway Kentucky during that time. I'll have a booth that I'm sharing with two good friends at Damselfly Gallery.  It's such an exciting venue and I'm really looking forward to it.

Here are a few new pieces that I’ve done.

Here’s hoping my creative muse stays around because I want to offer a lot of variety.                                                                                                            

My new model

I had Paige model these earrings for me. I’m pretty pleased with the way they turned out.

I think she’ll work out.

She’s been working hard with rehearsal’s for  Suessical the Musical, and sitting for me to take pictures of my earrings (not easy, it takes me forever to get it right). Busy girl.

I made baubles

I took more pictures of some of the baubles that I’ve made. Take a look…..

These are fused Argentium and copper. Very light~~~I try to make all of my earrings lightweight.  No stretched out earlobes here.

Here’s another pair that I really like. These are Argentium Silver with copper bands fused into it. For textural interest I’ve hammered them and added three small holes in each one.

Can you believe???

I sure can't believe that a week ago I said that I would be posting pictures of some earrings. Well, let me tell you. I've been working on it. First, my tumbler died on me. Finally made my way to Harbor Freight to get a new one. Some day I'll have me a real good one, like a hundred years from now when maybe I'll be able to afford one.

So, then, I made some earrings. Still have to get pictures. I planned on making some bracelets. My jump ring maker works fine, but, guess what????? The thingy that you put on your flex shaft to cut them won't work right. Or maybe, it's the saws~~~~I don't know.
I just ordered some new ones and I hope they work. Ever get the feeling that no matter what you do things just won't go right????

I did make a bunch of earrings but I'm so disappointed that I didn't get to work on the bracelets like I had planned to.

Well, tomorrow is another day. Tyler is coming over to spend the day with us and I always look forward to that. We always have a nice time with the grandkids.

Busy

Well, I have a few more pieces that I've been working on and completed.

I've really been focused and that's a good thing. My brain seems to be buzzing with idea's again and it feels great!!!!

This pendant is one of my fused pieces that I'm really happy with. I'm having a fun time with the fusing that I'm doing. On a roll and everything seems to be going together smoothly.

These final earrings are custom made for a good customer of mine. I'll get them to her today. She wants them as a gift for her daughter's birthday. The butterfly's are handmade by me,of course. I'm happy with the way they turned out. The patina makes them pop, don't you think?

New earrings

I've made some new earrings. They'll be going up on Etsy soon. I have a few more to finish then I'll put them all up.

Also, I wanted to mention that the very talented Deborah Truesdell,a wonderful artist of Little Art Room in the Back is giving away a piece of her artwork. You should check it out.Although, I'm hoping to be the lucky winner ;o) it's a really cool piece. I'd love to own some of her art.

My 1st teaching gig

Workshops..... Where do you suppose that word originated? Work can= drudgery. This was hardly drudgery. It was FUN teaching talented women. I had a blast teaching my first EVER jewelry ( workshop ) funshop. Here's a look at how things went.

Here are some of the ladies really concentrating. That's Betsy in the forefront, her friend Jennifer next to her, Michelle ( only 12 years old ) wait until you see what she made. That's Marilyn sitting at the far end. Here is what she made. Isn't it gorgeous?

GIVEAWAY

I've been noticing that so many of my blogger friends are doing giveaways. So, to celebrate spring, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. I'm not sure yet if it will be earrings or a necklace. Check out my blog on Monday( 3/16 ). It won't be complicated. You'll just need to make a comment then or during the week. I'll leave it open until Friday ( 3/20 ). and over the week-end I'll print out all the names of the people who have left a comment, cut them up, put them in a container and I'll have hubby draw a name. Flutterby Necklace

Well, I've been working. I've finished the first necklace in my butterfly series. The butterfly is handmade by me. Cut out of sterling silver sheet then brought to life with texture.
The chain is of steel links that are also hand made. On one side there are fused sterling circles and brass circles and a wire wrapped glass sea opal dangles.

The other side of the necklace has a lace wrapped connector with blue seed beads. Reminds me of a
cocoon.The clasp hook's on to an
old key that has a Swarowski
crystal heart in a pretty shade of blue attached to it with sterling wire..I plan on making one more necklace with the butterfly theme. And maybe some earrings........

Then I think I'll do somekind of Ginkco leaf things.

How blessed I am to be able to be doing something that I love .
